Red Wine

Portugal. Produced from various Portuguese varieties including Moreto, Castelão and Trincadeira. Aromas of ripe cherries and chocolate and crushed berries. A soft mouth-filling wine with red fruits and warming tannins.

Carmenere, Pacifico Sur

Chile. This is a full bodied and concentrated, ripe tannins and a long, lingering finish. Red-violet in colour, this wine is characterized by ripe blackberries, tobacco and spices. Elegant and floral, maintains the classic characteristics of the Carmenere grape.

Merlot, Vine Crafter

South Africa. Ripe, juicy and full bodied, bursting with aromas of rich plum, mulberry and fruit cake. Nuances of eucalyptus and cedary oak. A little gentle spice gives way to soft tannins and a long, smooth finish.

Recoleta, Malbec

Argentina. It’s part of the new wave of Malbecs we’ve seen coming out of Mendoza recently where the wine makers are keen to let the grapes do the talking. Cherries, loads of bright fruit, a little spice and some earthy notes feature in this Malbec.

The Cicada, Southern Rhone

France. A lighter style of red from Domaine Chante Cigale, located within the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. A blend of Grenache and Carignan grapes with fresh raspberry fruits on the nose, flavours of ripe cherry and a touch of spice. Five year ageing in Burgundy barrels rounds out the tannins.

Rioja Crianza, Vina Lobera, 2013

Spain. Deep ruby red with aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants. Fourteen month aged in French and American oak, rich ripe fruits on the palate with plenty of spice, hints of leather, black liquorice and aniseed. Lush texture with well-balanced tannins and long toasty finish.

New Zealand. Fresh and bright with notes of cherry, cranberry, plum and bramble fruits on the nose and on the palate. Silky rich in flavour and mouth filling with floral notes and a sweetly spicy finish.

Gran Passione, Veneto

Italy. Blend of Merlot and Corvina grapes made in the Amarone style. Vibrant purple colour, rich luscious nose full of sweet, ripe dark cherry and plum. Solid structure due to the elevated alcohol and balance between soft tannins and acidity. Oak ageing gives pleasant spices and vanilla notes with a rich, velvety finish.

France. A blend of the three main Champagne varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Aged for a minimum of three years in the cellars, this is rich and complex with a lovely mousse, a beautifully soft texture and notes of orange peel and honey amidst the delicious citrus fruit flavours. Some classic hints of brioche and tobacco complete the picture.

Rosé Wine
